This week of celebration has changed the routine of my blogging only a little bit.
Monday is for channeled session quotes, but I was not able to get to the computer with enough time.
Tuesday is for comment responses, but lately I have no one to respond to.
Or do I?
I want to tell you what happened to me last night (New Year's Eve) at approximately 5 minutes to midnight.
I live in a beautiful resort town in the south of the Dominican Republic, with all its tropical splendor. The beaches here face towards Venezuela, which is about a one hour flight from our airport here.
I was invited to share the New Year's celebration with friends in the exclusive country club, where I also teach yoga and do personal training.
At around the time I mentioned above, I set off on my own down a dark-ish golf cart path so I could get a clear view of the night sky. I felt drawn to do this, on the special night it was. It was as if I wanted to create a special ritual to bring in the new year.
The night sky here is beautiful and clear, but in no way as vast and lit as the skies I remember as a boy in Argentina on the steps of the Andes.
The path I took to walk is along side of the outdoor pavilion where I teach. I stood under the canopy of stars and silently spoke upward to whoever I thought might be listening...as if praying for a blessed 2008 for all of us.
Suddenly I saw an object that could've been any star or planet moving in a straight line, south to north.
"A satellite." I thought to myself.
Then suddenly as it paused right over my head, it quickly moved left, then right...then promptly disappeared.
I felt that at last after so many years I was being somehow greeted once again.
Next I walked back over to our table as the fireworks began at the stroke of midnight. When the beautiful array of explosions were finishing, and the sky was clearing, I looked straight up over my head and saw the same object moving as before...though I was now standing only about 50 yards away from where I had just stood. It appeared to be the same light moving on the same straight line, being the same size. I thought that it this could be a satellite this time.
But when it reached an exact point over my head, it stopped. It did not move, and simply remained as another seeming star/planet in the night sky. At that point, I felt confident that it was a Star Friend saying hello.
Happy New Year whoever you are.
And thank you.
