Hello,
I have always been interested in the science and practice of Ayurveda. What little I have been able to implement into my life over the years in terms of diet has helped a great deal. But instead of me trying to explain it, just watch this video.
Peace!

Wednesday Yoga

Downward-Facing Dog
Adho Mukha Svanasana
(AH-doh MOO-kah shvah-NAHS-anna)
adho = downward
mukha = face
svana = dog
Step by Step
Come onto the floor on your hands and knees. Set your knees directly below your hips and your hands slightly forward of your shoulders. Spread your palms, index fingers parallel or slightly turned out, and turn your toes under.
Exhale and lift your knees away from the floor. At first keep the knees slightly bent and the heels lifted away from the floor. Lengthen your tailbone away from the back of your pelvis and press it lightly toward the pubis. Against this resistance, lift the sitting bones toward the ceiling, and from your inner ankles draw the inner legs up into the groins.
Then with an exhalation, push your top thighs back and stretch your heels onto or down toward the floor. Straighten your knees but be sure not to lock them. Firm the outer thighs and roll the upper thighs inward slightly. Narrow the front of the pelvis.
Firm the outer arms and press the bases of the index fingers actively into the floor. From these two points lift along your inner arms from the wrists to the tops of the shoulders. Firm your shoulder blades against your back, then widen them and draw them toward the tailbone. Keep the head between the upper arms; don't let it hang.
Adho Mukha Svanasana is one of the poses in the traditional Sun Salutation sequence. It's also an excellent yoga asana all on its own. Stay in this pose anywhere from 1 to 5 breaths. Then bend your knees to the floor with an exhalation and rest in Child's Pose.

Tuesday Thoughts
Hey,
Now we go into the second card of the reading that I started yesterday. This card represents (usually) what the most prominent and current guide for the recipient of this reading has to impart. Remember, that this is a new years's reading that I offer to any and all of my readers.
The card is: Ishtar
Represents the strong positive side of the feminine force that stands autonomously.
Better this year to rely more on intuition and non-physical senses.
This is the year when the female energy matrix moves slightly out of proving equal standing with the male energy. It moves into the aspects of female healing, and the teaching of open correct receptivity.
There will be a growing need to release from binding attachments and harrowing responsibilities in the matterial world.
Many people will firmly realize and enact that this is a time of:
No more seduction. No more coersion. No more selfish gain.
No more fear that one must self-protect at all costs. No more jealously.
Let sleeping dogs lie. Stop the gossip.
Let Go.
This is the year people recognize that all that 'stuff' is unnecessary. So how many people can we help to realize this?
It is a time of being more creative. Finding what you really love to do.
Let go while giving in to Your-Self

Monday Amansha Says
Today I thought I would offer to any and all of my readers a general reading from the Amansha Cards.
In the mid 1990's I was telepathically told to begin a series of nightly meditations (OK, let's get beyond the yawns and sighs, ha ha). In these meditations, I received (in over a year and a half) over 63 archetypes, and their meanings, that would enable me to communicate in an interesting new fashion with my guides/Amansha. I didn't realize then that these archetypes would become a card divination system that would profoundly help the many people for whom I have been honored to do readings. It turns out that this card system connects me and the recipient of the reading with their most prominent guide at that current moment.
So, today I would like to endeavor a "New Years Reading' to all who might wander across my blog. I hope it will be a reading about the state of this planet, and the human consciousness...so I guess it will be a message to the world.
Here goes:
Card #1: The General Situation
Pleiades
Urges one to seek spiritual autonomy and not feel bound to societal restraints. Relax and don't spread yourself too thin.
Greet each day with joy, and you will actually see time move lightly. Always follow your hunch. This year asks you to really come into your own. If you're already there, then someone close to you needs your counsel.
Listen to your colleagues, friends and relatives.Even when they say what you may not want to hear, a message of delivery is there for you. Take nothing for granted, for you are connecdted with all. Learn about symbols and omens. Though you may be exhausted or overwhelmed with inspiration, or feeling tense and resentful, decide and focus on just one beloved one in your life. Just one. Offer them something, either from a phone blessing or to a simple gift. Offer your ear, heart, meditation, time and patience.
Make your 'New Year Point Perspective' positive and full of Excited Yearning. All it takes is saying, "Through this I am Knowing Love More'.
With that you are free of guilt and pressured obligation. The Universe takes over. It is in the light. You can move on in your own dimension of Self.
Next Card Tomorrow.
Ciao
